May 28th, 2007 by Shenron

This is a game developed by Core design and published by Eidos interactive, released in 1996.The game follows the exploits of Lara croft a British female archaeologist who goes in search of ancient treasures of Indiana Jones. Lara Croft goes on a trail to find a mysterious artifact from the Tomb of Qualopec in Peru. She sets on her quest to find the Atlantean scion and a Talisman of great power. But after she finds them she uncovers the mystery that reaches back before the dawn of recorded time to the treachery that destroyed the Atlantean civilization and the disasters that struck the world when it fell. The player controls the female archaeologist and the game is presented from the third person’s point of view. The object of the player is to guide Lara to different Tombs and other locations across the world in search of different artifacts and treasures. On the way the player will have to, fight human opponents, animals but the main strategy lies in solving puzzles and tricky jumps. The game is a typical example of a platform type game play. The movements of Lara are allowed for complex interactions with the surrounding. She can walk, run, and walk sideward and even swim. The game’s use of a hard edged female heroine created a revolution by throwing away the male perspective of game playing.
